You Can’t Make This Stuff Up

: Real Moments from Spirit Communication

Working with the spirit world never ceases to astonish and amaze me. How is it possible to communicate with an energy that now resides in another dimension? While I may not fully understand the mechanics behind spirit communication, I believe there are clues hidden within areas such as quantum mechanics and even string theory.

Until science advances further, we rely on something just as powerful—the undeniable evidence of spirit that comes through during sittings, spiritual readings, and live demonstrations by gifted mediums around the world.

Over the years, I’ve experienced many magical moments in my work as a medium—moments that stay with you and continue to make you smile long after they happen.

A Powerful Mediumship Demonstration

One evening, while demonstrating at Borehamwood Spiritualist Church, I decided to challenge myself. I wanted to push my mediumship further by bringing through more precise and detailed information from the spirit world.

I call these pieces of evidence my “Golden Nuggets”—specific details that strengthen the connection and provide clear validation for the recipient.

To develop this, I practice focusing on one area at a time—such as names, ages, or times of passing—allowing the information to become sharper and more accurate with experience.

Bringing Through Evidence from Spirit

That evening, I began receiving information about a gentleman in spirit:

• He was tall, around 6 feet in height
• His name was Gerry
• He passed at the age of 84
• He had a slender build
• He passed in bed after illness
• I felt weakness in the chest and lungs, which linked to lung cancer
• He had been a smoker

As I tuned into the connection, I was drawn to the back of the room. A lady raised her hand and confirmed that this was her grandfather. Every detail resonated with her.

This is what evidential mediumship is all about—bringing through clear, specific information that proves the continuation of life beyond the physical world.

When Spirit Has a Sense of Humour

Standing in front of around 50 people, I decided to go one step further.

I asked, “What time did you pass?”

Instantly, I saw a clock face showing ten past ten. Surrounding the image was darkness, which I interpreted as night-time.

I relayed:
“Your grandfather passed at ten past ten at night.”

The lady smiled and replied, “Yes, he passed at ten past ten… but it was in the morning.”

Slightly puzzled, I asked Gerry in spirit why he had shown me darkness.

The answer came through immediately—and it completely caught me off guard.

I burst into laughter in front of the entire audience, leaving everyone wondering what had just happened. When I finally composed myself, I shared his reply:

“Well, it was dark—I had my eyes shut.”

The Joy of Spirit Communication

Moments like this remind me why I do this work. Spirit communication isn’t just about evidence and validation—it’s also filled with personality, humour, and the essence of who someone truly was.

Experiences like this are a powerful reminder that our loved ones in spirit are still themselves. They still think, feel, and yes—even joke.

And honestly…

You really can’t make this stuff up.
